How to take action on ideas and have more fun

Being a creative person having many ideas can be a frustrating experience. Completing assignments and manifesting results requires something special, that mostly creative people lacks, such as DISCIPLINE! Possibly it might end up with nothing has been done, just as for the person who is completely without any ideas at all.

I (Katrine) know of this scenario all too well, so does my dear husband Jens, he is much more disciplined and being very patient with me.

Creating a vision board is a great method to start playing with ideas, whether you have some or have none. Letting the joy of using pictures and your brain pick the ones that resonates without any deeper thoughts is like playing. You should give it a try.

A great online tool for this process is Pinterest, here you can collect any picture you like just by searching for e.g. for your favourite colours, animals, food, furniture, travels etc.

Another way is to participate in an event with e.g. 5-10 people where everyone has brought a pile of old magazines and placed them in a cleared room, on the floor. Raise the energy and have fun with music and dancing and let everyone tear all magazines apart and leave it all on the floor. Quite funny actually. Then start the process. Letting your eyes catch the colours and collect the pages that attracts you. Equipped with scissors and glue, everyone now cuts and sticks up ones favourites on each their own cardboard. Magic can happen when you allow your senses to be the guides. Because you work on a subconscious level and end up making it visible.

The next step will be to put in words and text, catch some dreams and ideas you can continue to work with in the future. I did this several times and I have had vision boards hanging in my office for years. It’s also another great way of programming your subconscious mind to reaching your goals. Here we’re talking the Law of attraction.

When having some ideas you want to execute, you need to plan your GOALS. Here it’s important to list up everything. Make an overview and then decide when you want it realized. There is a simple tool to check up on REAL goals called the SMART-goal model – because sometimes goals happen to be too fluffy and end up just being a dream.

We have another great tool that works quite well. Have you ever heard about Mind Mapping? A fantastic tool we have taught several people during the years. I have put links below, to all the above-mentioned tools to learn more.

Being a creative person who sense my intuition strongly, I have realized that it’s not always my own ideas I have to work on. I easily capture other people’s energy and subconscious ideas. I become enthusiastic about people’s potential and see the picture immediately and even more clear than they do themselves. I get the picture, words and instantly know how even the colours’ must be.
Actually, people don’t need to have an idea yet, because my intuition is so strong I easily tune in and sense their possibilities, even after just a short talk! The biggest obstacle here is that people don’t trust the feedback they can get and have the imprint that it has to look in a specific way, for being a good solution.

Should you need to pick my brain and give you a creative feedback or if you need support in your planning –reach out, I would be love to help you by coaching you to your next goal.

Remember to always have fun during the process
